SACIV Annual Membership Meeting - September 2010
On September 25, SACIV held its annual membership meeting. Special guests included Mr. Andrea Manciulli from Italy; and Ms. Sarwat Hussein, director of the Council of American Islamic Relations, San Antonio Chapter who gave an insightful presentation on the myths and realities of Islam in the United States today.

SACIV 20th Anniversary Gala - October 2009
Ambassador Kenton Keith
of the Meridian International Center, Washington DC, spoke on "Citizen Diplomacy" as SACIV celebrated 20 years of hosting program exchanges. Irma Reyes, outgoing executive director, was honored for her many years of dedicated service and leadership. Guests included Bexar County Commissioner Tommy Adkisson and the African Children's Choir, a group of former refugee children from Burundi, Rwanda and the Congo, singing in their native Swahili.
